Touching Lepers
January 31st, 2006 | by Ed |Hey, this Sunday I begin a new series of messages on the Healing Miracles of Jesus. We’re not going to look at all 26 healing miracles in the Gospels. We’re going to focus our study in Matthew 8-9, which higihlights ten of Jesus’ miracles (nine of them are healing miracles).
For those of you who liike to get a head start, read Matthew 8-9. And here’s a challenge: see if you can figure out the structure of this passage. How would you organize these miracles? Why did Matthew pick these miracles to highlight (Hint: they are not chronologically in order)? Why does this section follow the Sermon on the Mount?
This Sunday’s message is enitled “Touching Lepers…and Other Untouchables.” What do you think is the “message in the miracle?” Who are the “Untouchables” in our society?
Just some food for thought…
One Response to “Touching Lepers”

I have nothing insightful to say (that’s why I feel at home blogging…), but do want to say the sermons in this seris, as usual, are wonderful. Pastor, the depth, added insight to what Jesus is saying and doing, and the purpose of the passages, has come alive. Whenever things come alive for me during a sermon, I really believe it’s from the Holy Spirit.
