It’s Been Awhile
May 21st, 2006 | by Ed |I had a rare treat today.
I went to church about four hours later than I usually do on Sunday mornings. And I got to sit with my family in church for the entire service.
That’s because I didn’t speak today. Don’t get me wrong, I love to teach. But it’s nice to catch my breathe from time to time. Leon DeVose did a good job teaching this morning. His message was on “The Agenda of Grace.” We’re saved by grace…for a purpose.
It has been awhile since I’ve blogged, so let me give you a personal update. My daughter, Patti, is still living and working in the Washington, D.C. area. However, she is applying for some jobs in New York city and hopes to move back to New Jersey.
Nancy has completed another year of school. She only has one more year to complete her nursing program at William Paterson University. Nancy and Richard are very busy right now making arrangements for their upcoming wedding in July.
Lori has finished her freshman year at Rider University, and is transferring to Rutgers University next year. She prefers the cosmopolitan atmosphere and big university feel of Rutgers.
Steven is almost done with his second year of high school, and has recently gotten his driver’s permit. Also, he’s busy making his plans to go on a missions trip to Greece this summer!
Janet and I? We’re busy helping Nancy with her wedding arrangements and giving Steven driving lessons. And running a household…and a church.
Life is good.

Hello, all!
OK, so I am a bit late, I did not even know that Pastor Ed has a blog. I GOOGLEd my name and there it was!
It was such a pleasure to bless the family at MCC. It is always a special treat for me to fill the pulpit there. I think once Pastor Ed called me on the Friday before the Sunday he needed me, and I was too happy to accept.
At any rate I say congratulations to the Banghart family for the recent wedding of their daughter. I pray the LORD bless them with scores of years of happiness as they grow together. I pray that they will experience the the true joy of marriage that God intended when he created the institution. I pray that Ed and Janet get to enjoy many years of many grandchildren. Take it from me, they are such a blast! You will understand the saying that if you knew they would be so much fun, you would have had them first!
And of course, Delretha and I pray for Patti in her job search here, for Nancy in her nursing program, Lori in her schooling and decisions regarding changing schools and Steven for, well for Steven.
Pastor, I regularly pray for you and Janet. I pray for your healing and for His strength. I ask God to continue to bless your ministry and to even increase your annointing to accomplish what he has called you to as a couple. Janet is such a great “first lady”. She is always welcoming and encouraging. We always feel good when we see her, and walk away thinking about the sweetness of fellowship after talking to her for any amount of time. What we always appreciated was her sincere concern and understanding reflected in her counsel exchange. We can only pray the LORD’s blessing on her.
The LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you, be gracious to you. The LORD lift up His countenance upon you and give you His peace.
