Marriage, Missions and Maybe More
August 9th, 2006 | by Ed |It’s been a busy summer for my family, so I thought I’d pass along a few more updates on me and my family.
In addition to Nancy getting married…
Steven returns this Thursday from a missions trip to Greece, sponsored by Touch the World Ministries. After several days of intensive training, the missions team set out to Greece to minister in Athens and, I believe, several islands in the Aegean Sea. The prevailing religion in Greece is Greek Orthodox Christianity, but many people put their trust in the rituals and traditions of the church and never come to know the Good News of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Steven and the other members of the missions team will be giving their testimonies and sharing the Good News of Christ through street evangelism, open air meetings and children’s ministry. Sounds exciting!
Lori transferred from Rider University to Rutgers University in New Brunswick. She did very well at Rider but she prefers the large cosmopolitan campus of Rutgers to the small intimate campus of Rider. She’ll be majoring in English as she goes into her sophomore year.
Meanwhile, Nancy soon begins the final year in her nursing program at William Paterson University. She loves nursing and is excelling in her studies.
And there are some developments with our oldest daughter Patti as well. Patti presently lives in Arlington, Virginia and works in Washington, D.C. at the Urban Institute. She has had several interviews with a company in New York city that is affiliated with Columbia University. If she gets the job, she’ll be moving back to NJ. Hooray!
So, it’s been a full summer–marriage, missions, transfers and job changes (maybe).
