September is Here!

September 1st, 2006 | by Ed |

It’s hard to believe it, isn’t it…September is here.

Summer ends and school begins. The green of summer will soon give way to the vibrant colors of autumn. The football season kicks off. A new television season begins. The lazy days of summer give way to the busy days of fall. Did I mention football?

This summer has been particularly restful for me, and I feel ready to tackle a new ministry season. This Sunday I’ll be back in the pulpit. I’ll be finishing up a summer series of messages from the Psalms with a message on Psalm 37 entitled “When Life Just Isn’t Fair!”

If you’ve discovered the reality that life isn’t fair, you won’t want to miss this message. If you haven’t discovered the reality that life isn’t fair, you may want to check your pulse.

Then, on Sunday, September 10th, we’re going to begin a study of 1 Thessalonians which I have entitled “Having a Steady Faith in a Roller-Coaster World.” Life is a lot like riding a roller coaster wiith its ups and downs, its dizzying speed and its hairpin turns. Life often feels like its out of control, and you’re hanging on for dear life!

This series will help you maintain stability and a steadying faith when life takes you for a roller coaster ride. Hope you can join us for this series.
