Awesome!
November 1st, 2007 | by Ed |Awesome is a word that’s greatly overused…but it’s the only word that adequately describes the first water baptism service in our new church–Awesome!
It was an exciting, joy-filled experience to baptize 18 people from our church. We were joined by David Cattafi, pastor of Living Word Community Church, who baptized two of his people as well. That’s 20 people who were making a public declaration of their new-found faith in Christ, and declaring their allegiance to the kingdom of God.
Hopefully, this will be the first of many water baptism services for our church. My prayer is that many more will discover the new life that’s found in Christ through the ministry of Montclair Community Church.
