Welcome Baby Leah!
March 12th, 2008 | by Ed |For those who may not yet know–three weeks ago, Janet and I became grandparents to a beautiful little granddaughter named Leah! And our son, Steven, became a proud dad!
There was a lot of uncertainty over whether the mother of baby Leah was going to give her up for adoption or not. A baby is quite a responsibility for two 18-year-olds, and both Steven and Anna (the mom) were initially overwhelmed by the unplanned pregnancy and the prospect of parenthood.
But baby Leah is here to stay, living with her mom and being cared for by mom and dad. We’re really proud of Steven for the way he stepped up to become such a responsible and loving dad. Our house is once again flled with cribs, changing tables, strollers, diaper bags and baby bottles. Of course, grammy Janet and aunts Patti, Nancy and Lori are absolutely thrilled when baby Leah is at our house! And grandpa Ed just melts when he sees her.
It’s amazing how God takes even our mistakes and wrong choices and produces something beautiful and precious. Welcome to the family baby Leah!

Dear Pastor Ed,
The love and light of God shines in and around this message. God has given a new and precious miracle to His world - Baby Leah! May He bless and keep her, and all of you, in his light and care.
Enjoy your new life, Grandpa.
