You've heard of the Serenity Prayer, right? But have you heard of the Senility Prayer? Here it is:
"God, grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference."
There's a prayer to try.

Having just returned from a week long cruise, I was reminded of the top ten silliest questions asked on a cruise line (compiled by Paul Grayson, Cruise Director for Royal Caribean Cruise Lines). Here they are:
10. "Do these steps go up or down?"
9. "What do you do with the beautiful ...

It's halfway through the summer.
Here are some random musings at the summer halfway mark...
Is it just me, or does this summer seem to be dragging?
I'm tired of TV reruns, reality shows & game shows.

Doctors and medical workers are intelligent, educated and articulate, right? ...

For instance, have you ever wondered...
Why sheep don't shrink when it rains?
Why there isn't mouse-flavored cat food?

I guess Punxsutawny Phil was right...winter isn't over yet.
Since 1887, folks have been gathering at Gobbler's Knob in Punxsutawny, Pennsylvania to forecast the weather (using the latest technology). Over the last 119 years, Punxsutawny Phil has been right 38% of the time. In other words, about as reliable as a ...

I'm a lover of words. So I really loved this word that my daughter Lori found for me...
hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia
Try using that word in your next conversation. What does it mean? It means "the fear of big words."
